The Papua New Guinea coffee industry began with seeds imported from the Jamaica Blue Mountain region in 1937. Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee is one of the most expensive in the world which makes this coffee bean such an amazing single origin cup. Much of Papua New Guinea’s coffee is grown in the mountain highlands including the central highlands of Mt. Hagen, an area known for its ideal coffee-growing climate and rich volcanic soils.Our offering is a wet processed (washed), high grade coffee bean that is deeply dimensioned yet well-balanced, with mellow yet broad flavors that provide a bright and clean taste – a classic, delicate sweetness complemented by an exotic, complex and fruity aroma.
Roasted light to medium exhibits the following cupping notes: Creamy, silky body, sparkling apple juice like bright acidity, sweetens as it cools with stone fruit, chocolate flavours with a yogurt like tangy mouth feel.
